First Week of October...

IMG_1811
...began as an Indian summer, with great colors appearing.
IMG_1808
It was a great time to get out on the lake...

Alta the Dog even had a good time.

But then the sky began to look ominous...

...and the rain began.

Then came some snow,

Sunset Tour

Got out on the evening of 1/3 for some quick turns off of the canyon summit.

The views were good....

Alta the Dog was even taking them in.

Zack snapped some pics of me making some turns. Alta the Dog is the black thing chasing me.

Mellow turns, but it sure felt good.

Zack, hits a little lip.

Kyle surfs some powdah.

We headed down as the sun was setting.

Z, silhouette.

K, going down.

Waves in the Sky

Sunset yesterday, 8/27.
I believe this was the beginning of smoke wafting into the valley, because today was super hazy.

Old Canyon

Last Sunday Large and I had tinfoil dinners with my parent's in the mountains I grew up in. I had a great time wandering around, taking in the familiar scenery, and reminiscing in this special area that instilled a love for the backcountry in me.
Looking to the east, with patches of red and the Crawfords beyond.

Looking to the west from Red Spur (hazy). Wellsvilles are in the far distance.

Chuckhole Spring.

Stole this pic from Large.

Looking back while heading out.

Little Creek Reservoir.

Saw lots of flowers, some of which can be seen here: slide show.
