First Week of October...

...began as an Indian summer, with great colors appearing.

It was a great time to get out on the lake...

Alta the Dog even had a good time.

But then the sky began to look ominous...

Then came some snow,

Lately

August Flowers in the Bear River Range:

We were in the Uintas last weekend for a family reunion, so we decided to scramble up Murdock Mountain off Bald Mtn. Pass before we headed home.

Laurie heads up.

Bald Mountain.

Climbed a really dirty crack up Left Hand Fork with Dad yesterday.
It was called The Oaks.

Rusty old pin.

We ended up walking off, which turned out to be a bushwhack.

The route.

Oregon Trip

Spent the second to last week of July in Oregon with Laurie and her family. The scenery did not disappoint, and we had a great time. Day time highs were in the mid- 60's (along the coast), and it was a great escape from our heat wave.
