Been touring predominantly in the Wellsville foothills lately due to the quick access. I have learned the best route via trial and error. It is possible to be at some great skiing in under an hour. Relatively no other traffic, and a pretty good ridge for a safe ascent. Also was able to go w/ Laurie into the lower reaches of this area. What a blast! I absolutely loved sharing the joys of the backcountry with the girl I love. She marched up the skin track with a huge smile on her face, lugging gear twice as heavy as mine. She did great on the descent as well, can't wait to see what more experience and confidence will bring.
